Semmco and Newbow Aerospace Integrated After MRO Europe Announcement
HAKI Safety has announced the integration of Semmco Group and Newbow Aerospace under a single Semmco brand, bringing together their expertise in aviation access solutions and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). The move strengthens the Group’s offering to the aviation industry, providing customers with an expanded product portfolio and increased manufacturing capabilities.
The HAKI Safety Group has announced that Semmco Group and Newbow Aerospace will be integrated under the Semmco brand name. The transition will happen immediately and was announced at the MRO Europe exhibition and conference in Amsterdam on October 28th.
Semmco Group, which manufacturers specialist aviation access equipment for aircraft and helicopters as well as supplying a range of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), was acquired by HAKI Safety in October 2024 while Newbow Aerospace, which manufactures and supplies GSE, was acquired in February 2026.
Commenting on the integration of the two businesses under one brand Sverker Lindberg, President and CEO of HAKI Safety, said, “The aviation market segment is an attractive one that we intend to grow in. Both the businesses’ products are designed to enable engineers to safely and efficiently maintain aircraft during scheduled service or maintenance and therefore bringing them together and investing in a single brand and product and service portfolio makes sense for both us and our customers.
Following the announcement, Semmco will now boast three manufacturing and engineering locations. The headquarters in Woking, the new GSE focused site in Redditch and the Arlington, Texas facility which boasts bespoke engineering capability.
Speaking at MRO Europe, Will McOnie, Managing Director of the newly expanded Semmco business, said, “Bringing us together gives our customers a much-expanded product portfolio and offers them the best of two terrific businesses under one roof. Our increased manufacturing footprint will reduce lead times and now engineers and procurement professionals alike can access what they need from a single point.”
